For B Corp awareness month in March 2024, we wanted to do something a bit different.
Every March, B Lab and the global B Corp community celebrate what it means to be a B Corp, raising awareness of the movement worldwide.
Being BCorp is about looking at your business from a holistic perspective. The certification process measures aspects such as the social and environmental impact, celebrating what you are really doing that is influencing change and creating a brighter future.
As a Tech With Purpose company, doing good, being better, creating ripples of change, is reflected in everything that we do, and in who we are as individuals too.
There are only 37 certified businesses in Wales that are B Corp, including us, and around 1500 UK-wide. Big Lemon have won awards for being values led, for looking after our people, via B Corp and others.
It felt perfectly aligned to do something for the world to celebrate B Corp month. So we went litter picking and planted some wildflower seeds.
The Big Lemon wider family also joined in. The Big Lemon kids chose where we went litter picking, schools and local villages were their suggestions. Then we got on our peddle bikes and planted some wildflowers in places that once they have sprung will hopefully bring a smile to people’s faces as they go about their day.
We are a fully remote, 4-day-week, flexible working company, that focuses on people and positivity at the heart of everything we do. Being B Corp means we have a duty to act ethically, and we encourage others to do the same. We have the power to make a difference, however big or small.
