On Friday 17th November, we attended the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards 2017, and we won the award for Creative and Digital Business of the Year!
This award recognises those businesses in Caerphilly that are operating in the highly important creative and digital sectors. The judges were looking for creative and digital companies that have achieved growth and strong financial performance through innovation, exceptional customer experience and are focused on future business success.
Throughout this year we have been shortlisted for 4 awards. However, this is our first win and we couldn't be happier and prouder. As Owen, our co-founder said "Personally, I think we won because we have spent a lot of our time trying to focus on our goals and ambitions as a business." Over the last year we have gained 2 new staff members and there has been a focus on getting the creativity and culture right. He continued "We feel like we're heading in the right direction, and this award reaffirms that. Welsh ICE has always core to what we've managed to do, and we're proud to say that we are members here."
There were two more businesses within the Creative and Digital Business of the Year Award category - CineMerse and Tania Miller Photography - two brilliant businesses that we weren't surprised to be up against. In Fact, we'd like to give a massive congratulations to all the businesses and individuals who were shortlisted.
Owen Richards said “We are so chuffed to have won the award, especially in the presence of prestigious companies like Lexon and the Thomas Carroll Group.” He continued on by saying “I am also very proud of Alex Jones and her business Coffee 37. Both being from Ystrad Mynach, my Ystrad pride is glowing!”
